Files management

Files in Brixel can be uploaded through chat messages, produced by tool execution, or imported for document embeddings. File storage counts toward your subscription storage limit.

File lifecycle​

The retention period depends on how the file was created:

  • Attached to a message in a conversation
    The file is retained as long as the conversation exists.
  • Generated by a tool execution (final output)
    The file is retained as long as the conversation exists.
  • Intermediate tool step output or imported into an action execution form
    The file is retained for 1 day and then deleted.
  • Used as a document for embeddings
    The file is retained as long as the document exists.

Storage and security​

Files are stored on infrastructure accessible only by Brixel to ensure data security and isolation.
